Officer Involved Shooting In Myrtle Beach Ruled “Justifiable Homicide”

The incident took place on April 14 along South Ocean Boulevard and resulted in the death of 18-year-old Jerrius Davis.

The officer involved shooting that occurred in Myrtle Beach last month was ruled a “justifiable homicide.”

The incident took place on April 14 along South Ocean Boulevard and resulted in the death of 18-year-old Jerrius Davis.

Davis reportedly opened fire, shooting into a crowd, prompting an officer to respond to the threat in which he pulled his firearm and shot Davis. Eleven other people were injured during the incident.

Three officers were placed on administrative leave during SLED’s investigation, which at this time is still ongoing. The report doesn’t name the officer that shot at Davis.
