Crews Work To Install New Water Meters Throughout Myrtle Beach

Ferguson Waterworks plans to install over 7,000 water meters for customers who don't have updated ones.

Throughout this week crews will be installing new water meters in the city of Myrtle Beach.

Ferguson Waterworks plans to install over 7,000 water meters for customers who don’t have updated ones.

The new meters will assist with identifying leaks quicker, reducing water waste, eliminate manual readings and provide easy access to water usage data.

The company will inform homeowners by using door hangers. During the installations, water will be cut for around 30 minutes. Once complete, residents will need to run the water for a few minutes to clear the water line.

Crews will install around 50 meters a day from 8am-5pm Monday through Friday.
