Mark Carney Wins Canadian Election
Carney addressed President Trump's recent actions alleging that he has "fundamentally changed" the world.
Mark Carney officially won the Canadian election Monday.
He will now take on the prime minister position replacing former leader Justin Trudeau who resigned earlier this year.
In remarks following his victory, Carney addressed President Trump’s recent actions alleging that he has “fundamentally changed” the world.
“As I’ve been warning for months, America wants our land, our resources, our water, our country. These are not idle threats. President Trump is trying to break us so America can own us. That will never … ever happen,” Carney said.
While Carney won the Liberal Party another term in office, it is still too early to tell if his party will hold the majority that involves 172 seats in Parliament.
