DHL has announced it will resume global business-to-consumer shipments valued over $800 to individuals in the U.S..
The company halted shipments last week due to new U.S. Customs rules which require formal entry processing on all shipments worth over $800.
The minimum had previously been $2,500 until a change was made earlier this month.
However, DHL said “constructive dialogue” with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Department of Commerce as well as “adjustments to U.S. Customs regulations” meant it was able to resume the shipments.
