HCPD Locates Abducted 6-Year-Old Child Using License Plate Readers
Officers responded to reports of a 6-year-old, non-verbal child, who had been abducted by a non-custodial parent.
Horry County police were able to safely locate a child and reunite them with their parent.
Early Sunday, officers responded to reports of a 6-year-old, non-verbal child, who had been abducted by a non-custodial parent.
With help from use of Flock license plate readers, patrol officers were able to quickly identify and locate the suspected vehicle.
The child was inside the vehicle, which was pulled over along Highway 501 near the Fantasy Harbour/George Bishop Parkway Exit.
No one was harmed during the incident.
