Man Charged In Connection To Fatal Roommate Shooting

Police responded to the altercation on Bay View Drive in the Green Sea area of Horry County.

One man has been charged following a fatal shooting between roommates.

Just before 7am on Saturday, police responded to the altercation on Bay View Drive in the Green Sea area of Horry County.

The two men reportedly got into an argument which led to shots fired.

The suspect identified as 48-year-old Anthony Chiu was reportedly holding the victim that was shot when authorities showed up.

45-year-old Charles Jones was pronounced dead at the scene.

Chiu has since been charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. He is being held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center with no bail set.
