The death toll from the massive earthquake that shook Myanmar nearly a week ago continues to rise.
At least 3,095 deaths have been confirmed after rescue teams have found more bodies. Another 4,715 people have been injured and 341 remain unaccounted for.
The 7.7 magnitude quake left behind a wide range of damage from thousands of downed buildings, buckled roads, and destroyed bridges across multiple regions.
Search and rescue efforts are still underway and humanitarian aid groups are scrambling to provide survivors medical care and shelter. Rescue supplies and equipment have been sent by 17 countries.
The quake worsened an already dire humanitarian crisis. More than 3 million people are displaced from their homes and nearly 20 million are in need.
