City Of Conway Renames Nearby Areas For April Fool’s Day
City spokesperson June Wood said, by executive order, they've renamed a few local areas.
Tuesday is April Fool’s Day and the city of Conway is known for having an annual prank.
This year, the city renamed other nearby cities, counties, and even the state.
City spokesperson June Wood said, by executive order, they’ve renamed a few local areas. She said, “we will now have Conway Forest, Conway Beach, North Conway Beach, Conway County,” adding, “It’s really a great take on the economic impact the city has made in this area.”
The city took to social media to share pictures of their edited signs. They went as far as changing the South Carolina state sign to ‘South Conwaylina.’
“The holidays are always an exciting time in Conway, and they plan to carry on this tradition for years to come,” Wood said.
