Robeson Co. House Fire Results In Death Of A Child
Crews were called to Marada Road in the Maxton community.
A residential fire in Robeson County led to the death of one child.
The flames broke out around 7:20pm Thursday night.
Crews were called to Marada Road in the Maxton community.
The fire originated in the kitchen area of the home.
Several fire departments assisted to get the flames under control.
The child did not survive injuries while the mother and grandmother were each taken to a hospital to be treated.
The grandmother had to be airlifted.
Identities of those involved have not been publicly revealed.
The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation is now looking into the incident.
