Second Lady Usha Vance To Visit Greenland Amid Trump Talks Of Takeover

Since returning to the White House, Trump has repeatedly said that the U.S. will come to control Greenland.

Second Lady Usha Vance is planning to visit Greenland as President Trump vocalizes plans to takeover the territory.

Vance and one of her three children will be part of a U.S. delegation that will “visit historic sites” and “learn about Greenlandic heritage.” Trump’s National Security Adviser, Mike Waltz, will also embark on the journey.

During Trump’s first term, he proposed plans to buy the world’s largest island, even as Denmark insisted it was not for sale. The people of Greenland also have firmly rejected the proposal. However, since returning to the White House, President Trump has repeatedly said that the U.S. will come to control the territory.

Sunday, Vice President JD Vance said that Trump “doesn’t care” what the Europeans think. He said that Denmark is “not doing its job” with Greenland and “not being a good ally,” adding, “if that means that we need to take more territorial interest in Greenland that is what President Trump is going to do.”
