This year’s World Happiness Report has revealed the top five happiest countries in the world.
The report ranks countries using data from the Gallup World Poll, asking respondents to evaluate their life as a whole on a scale of 0-10.
The responses are weighted to give population-representing national averages using three years worth of data.

Denmark was number two followed by Iceland in third, Sweden in fourth and Netherlands in fifth.
In addition, Costa Rica in sixth and Mexico in tenth, both making the top ten for the first time ever.
