Todd Lyons Tapped To Take On Acting ICE Director Position

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced new leadership at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.
Todd Lyons is the former assistant director of field operations for the agency’s enforcement arm and has been tapped to take on the role of acting ICE director.
The leadership change comes after the previous acting director was reassigned a few weeks ago. Two other top ICE officials were reassigned last month as well.
The changes come amid frustrations in the Trump administration regarding the pace of immigration arrests.
In addition, Noem has pledged to step up lie detector tests on employees to identify those who may be leaking information concerning operations to the media.
