The meeting was attended by Elon Musk who is not a cabinet member, but leads the administration’s Department of Government Efficiency.

The president also instructed federal agencies to come up with plans over the next few weeks for additional layoffs and reorganization.

In addition, it was stated that Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy are nearing a final agreement on Ukraine’s provision of rare earth minerals to the U.S. in return for security guarantees.

Zelenskyy will visit the White House Friday as the two discuss the deal.
