Crash Involving Tractor-Trailer Claims Lives Of Three People

The accident occurred Monday afternoon on Highway 701 and Pee Dee Highway near Conway.

A crash in Horry County claimed the lives of several people.

The accident occurred Monday afternoon on Highway 701 and Pee Dee Highway near Conway.

Three people were traveling in a vehicle that collided with a tractor-trailer. All three of them succumbed to their injuries but the driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.

Traffic was blocked for an extended period while crews worked to clear the scene.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
