Grubhub Announces Data Breach After Unusual Activity

The data that was accessed includes names, email addresses, phone numbers, and partial card details, such as last four digits.

Grubhub announced a data breach occurred after a threat gained unauthorized access.

The delivery company said it observed “unusual activity” within their environment. They traced it to a third party service provider for their support team leading to a probe using forensic experts.

The data that was accessed includes names, email addresses, phone numbers, and partial card details, such as last four digits.

Grubhub Marketplace wasn’t affected and noted that sensitive information, including social security, driver’s license numbers, full payment card information, and merchant logins, were not accessed.

However, the company recommends customers create unique passwords for their accounts.
