Protesters gathered to demonstrate in downtown Myrtle Beach Monday.
The group got together at Highway 17 North and 9th Avenue North to protest as U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement continues deportation operations across the nation.
Some held signs that read phrases like “we’re not criminals, we’re hard workers,” and “lifting my voice for my family.”
A few drivers honked in support of the group, with some driving by with Mexican flags.
The protesters were within their rights and were not blocking traffic or pedestrians while participating in peaceful demonstrations.
