Teamsters Union Members Move To Authorize Strikes

Teamsters Union members said they will not work a day past January 31 without a historic agreement.

Members of the Teamsters Union have authorized a strike.

The union is made of U.S. Costco Wholesale employees.

The current contract, which covers over 18,000 workers, is set to expire on January 31.

85% of those members voted in favor of conducting strikes as negotiations over a new national master agreement has not been reached.

They are prepared to walk off the job if their demands for an improved contract are not met.

The Teamsters General President Sean O’Brien said their members will not work a day past January 31 without a historic, industry-leading agreement.
