Socastee Swing Bridge To Temporarily Close To Night Time Traffic

It will be temporarily closed for maintenance that will take place from 9pm-6am beginning on January 17.

The Socastee Swing Bridge is set to be closed off to night time traffic.

The bridge sits over the Intracoastal Waterway in Horry County.

It will be temporarily closed for maintenance that will take place from 9pm-6am beginning on January 17. Work is expected to wrap up by January 21.

Traffic will be detoured to Highway 544 during this time. Meanwhile, Dick Pond Road will be open to local traffic only, except for the area of the Socastee Swing Bridge.

Drivers are asked to use caution and pay attention to message boards that will be placed alerting drivers of the closure.
