Man Back In Custody After Bailing Out In Connection To Toddler’s Deaths
Matthew Graham Jr.'s bond was revoked due to “lack of subject matter jurisdiction.”
The man who was arrested and released after the death of two toddler’s has returned to custody.
Matthew Graham Jr. was detained on Tuesday on charges connected to the death of 3-year-old Avery Graham and 2-year-old Sy’Riah Blanchard.
The children died in a house fire on Christmas Eve. It was said they were left alone at the house while in the care of Graham. He was accused of causing the death “under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to human life through fatal neglect.”
Graham was released the same day of his arrest on a $100,000 bond. However, Wednesday, he turned himself in to Darlington County police after his bond was revoked due to “lack of subject matter jurisdiction.” That means a court does not have the authority to make a certain ruling.
Graham’s next scheduled court appearance is on March 26.
