Coastal Carolina’s head coach Tim Beck announced McCall’s return Monday. He spoke about the impact the player made both on the game and community while saying they can’t be more excited that he will start his coaching career at Coastal.

McCall said he’s thankful for the opportunity as he will be working alongside new coordinator Drew Hollingshead as well as Beck.

McCall transferred to NC State for his final season of eligibility. With a history of several head injuries he announced his retirement from playing in October.

McCall is the only player to earn “Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year” honors three times in his collegiate career.
