Chick-Fil-A Changes Popular Waffle Fries Recipe
The goal is to keep the fries "crispier, longer" while keeping the "same great taste."
Chick-Fil-A’s popular waffle fries may taste different from here on out.
The fast food chain announced it would make a “slight adjustment” to its waffle potato fries recipe by adding pea starch to the coating.
The goal is to keep the fries “crispier, longer” while keeping the “same great taste.”
Some fans have said the new fries are horrible, stale, dry and hardened. Some shared that they were already good so why change them and many have requested for the old flavor to come back.
Chick-Fil-A said the new recipe does not contain any of the nine major allergens. It was found that the chances of experiencing a severe reaction to the new pea starch is low.
