Horry County Schools Names Clifford Jones As New Superintendent

Jones will start his three-year contract in the Superintendent position for Horry County Schools on or around February 3.

Horry County Schools has appointed a new Superintendent.

Clifford Jones began his 23-year education career working in Fulton County Schools in Georgia.

Jones started out as a high school Social Studies teacher in 2001 and later became principal at the same school.

The educator further advanced in positions at the district level in 2015 and held titles of Executive Director of Accountability and more. His current position of Chief of Staff began last year.

Jones will start his three-year contract in the Superintendent position for Horry County Schools on or around February 3.
