Klocker’s Tavern To Close After Recent Fatal Shooting Incident
43-year-old Jotham Simmons later died at a hospital from injuries he sustained in the shooting.
We now know the name of a victim who died in result of a shooting in Horry County.
Around 2:30am on Monday, police were called to the 4800 block of Highway 17 Bypass on reports of a shooting inside Klocker’s Tavern.
Two people were injured in the incident.
43-year-old Jotham Simmons later died at a hospital from injuries he sustained in the shooting.
The other victim’s condition is unknown.
No arrests have been made at this time.
Following the shooting, Klocker’s announced the decision to close the bar permanently.
The statement said, “This choice has been incredibly difficult, but in light of the recent shooting, continued violence, theft, and losses, it has become clear that closing is the only responsible way to ensure everyone’s safety.”
This is not the first violent situation that has occurred at Klocker’s Tavern.
