Stanley Recalls Over 2.5 MIllion Travel Mugs
The mugs have polypropylene lids that were found to loosen once exposed to "heat and torque."
Stanley has issued a recall for around 2.6 million travel mugs.
The recall covers all Stanley switch-back and trigger action stainless steel travel mugs. It was placed due to the products potentially posing “burn hazards.”
The mugs have polypropylene lids that were found to loosen once exposed to “heat and torque.”
The company has received over 90 reports of the problem relating to the lids and 38 of those involved burn injuries.
The products range from 12 to 20 ounces and come in a variety of colors.
Consumers should stop use immediately and contact Stanley to receive a free replacement lid.
