Walmart To Dial Back On DEI Policies

Walmart will now refrain from giving priority treatment to suppliers.

Walmart is stepping in line with other major corporations that have been rolling back diversity, equity and inclusion policies.

The changes include everything from not renewing a five-year commitment for an equity racial center to pulling out of a prominent index that covers race and gender.

Walmart will now refrain from giving priority treatment to suppliers.

The move highlights increasing pressure faced by corporate America as it continues to steer  through the fallout from the Supreme Court’s ruling last year that ended affirmative action in college admissions.

That decision prompted groups to file lawsuits targeting workplace initiatives such as diversity programs and hiring practices that prioritize marginalized groups.
