An arrest has been made months after an investigation into a fatal shooting.

On April 3, Katelyn Bennett was found dead after being shot multiple times in her vehicle at the intersection of Highway 905 and Gore Road near Conway.

Chriwanta Bryant was a suspect and police used cell phone location data and digital evidence from his phone to tie him to the crime.

The suspect was arrested on Tuesday and waived his right to a bond hearing Wednesday.

Bryant has a history of criminal charges involving robbery and drugs.

The motive behind Bennet’s murder remains unclear.

Bryant is being held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
