Organic Carrots Linked To E. Coli Outbreak That’s Left Many Sick/One Dead
The bagged carrots were sold under several store brands for Kroger, Publix, Target, Trader Joe's, Walmart, Whole Foods and more.
A recent E. Coli outbreak across at least 18 states has been linked to some organic carrots.
At least 39 cases of E. Coli have been linked to the carrots since early September, resulting in 15 hospitalizations and one death.
The bagged carrots were sold under several store brands for Kroger, Publix, Target, Trader Joe’s, Walmart, Whole Foods and more.
The recalled carrots are likely no longer in stores but may be in people’s homes.
It covers baby organic carrots with best-if-used by dates ranging from September 11 to November 12. They were sold in stores from around August 14 to October 23.
Consumers should throw the products out or return them to place of purchase for a refund.
