523 Advance Auto Parts corporate stores are set to close while 204 independent locations and four distribution centers will close.

Advance Auto Parts announced plans to close over 700 locations nationwide.

The auto parts retailers has more than 4,700 stores across nearly every state.

The move comes as part of its third-quarter update to investors.

The chief executive officer of the company said they are clearing a path forward and introducing a new three-year financial plan, with a focus on executing core retail fundamentals to improve the productivity of all their assets and to create shareholder value.
