Federal Judge Rules Mark Zuckerberg Not Liable In Dozens Of Lawsuits

The lawsuits alleged that Zuckerberg's company has caused social media addiction and harm in children.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg will not be held liable in over two dozen lawsuits.

The lawsuits alleged that Zuckerberg’s company has caused social media addiction and harm in children.

The plaintiffs say he “directed, participated in, knew of and served as the guiding spirit behind Meta’s concealment and omissions.”

However, a federal judge said the plaintiffs had insufficient evidence that Zuckerberg personally directed the suppression of information regarding the dangers of social media.

The court’s ruling comes as world leaders crack down on some social media companies over claims that they are addictive to children and teens.

In October alone, attorney generals from 14 different states filed lawsuits against TikTok.
