Horry County Residents Vote In Favor Of Ride IV Program
Ride IV will go into effect starting May 1, which will follow the completion of collections from Ride III.
Horry County voters have approved the most recent version of the Ride program.
The Ride IV transportation program adds a 1% sales tax that will fund over 30 projects over the next 25-years or until the county collects $6.6 billion.
The final vote was 57% to 43%.
Ride IV will go into effect starting May 1, which will follow the completion of collections from Ride III.
The current program has the same 1% tax and is scheduled to expire on April 30.
