Conway Riverwalk Expansion Opening Date Delayed
The expansion is now projected to be complete closer to the end of the year or early next year.
The Riverwalk expansion in Downtown Conway will now open later than initially planned.
The project aims to wrap the boardwalk along the Waccamaw River up to Kingston Lake.
It will connect the Riverwalk to Fourth Avenue ahead of the S-C 905 bridge.
Crews were originally scheduled to complete construction by November.
However, major flooding in August and high water levels in September prevented work on the boardwalk railing.
The expansion is now projected to be complete closer to the end of the year or early next year.
An official opening date was not revealed.
