Man Arrested For Firing Shots At Atlanta Four Seasons Hotel
70-year-old Jay Berger fired at least once from the balcony on the 33rd floor of the 53-story building.
A shooter fired shots at a four seasons hotel in atlanta Tuesday afternoon.
Around 10am police were called to the hotel in response to a dispute between a building worker and a man on the 33rd floor, which is occupied by residences. Officers attempted to get the individual to come to the door and speak with them, but he refused.
70-year-old Jay Berger fired at least once from the balcony on the 33rd floor of the 53-story building. He also fired through walls and doors. He used as many as three guns including a handgun and at least one long gun.
The floor was evacuated as police fired back and a standoff was underway. Officials were able to breach the door and detain Berger.
The shooter was injured, but his condition was not revealed. One officer was also hurt during the gunfire. They were hospitalized with injuries believed to be non-life threatening. No other injuries were reported.
Berger will now be investigated on suspicion of aggravated assault and other possible violations.
