Myrtle Beach Police Detain Man Hours After Barricade Situation

37-year-old Robert Campbell reportedly barricaded himself in a home near Pelicans Ballpark.

One man was arrested after a barricade situation in Myrtle Beach.

37-year-old Robert Campbell reportedly barricaded himself in a home near Pelicans Ballpark.

Around 1:30pm on Friday, police were called to the 2000 block of Greens Boulevard on reports of a wanted person.

Upon arrival, Campbell allegedly fled from officials and locked himself in the home along 21st Avenue North. He was taken into custody just after 5pm.

Campbell faces several charges including three counts of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, two counts of possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm and more. He is being held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
