One Dead After Being Struck By Vehicle In Pawleys Island Area

A pedestrian was struck and killed in the Pawleys Island area Thursday night.

Around 7:15pm, Georgetown County police responded to the area of Ocean Highway and Professional Lane.

The victim was taken to a hospital where they later died and their identity has not been released.

The driver of the SUV was the sole occupant of the vehicle and did not sustain any injuries.
