Four Deaths Recorded After Hurricane Milton
Hurricane Milton did leave behind much destruction and at least four storm related deaths have been recorded.
Hurricane Milton made landfall in Florida as a Category 3 storm.
The storm brought up to 18-inches of rain to the Tampa and St. Petersburg areas. The worst storm surge appeared to be in Sarasota County where it was 8 to 10 feet.
The storm resulted in power outages across a large section of Florida. Over 3.2 million homes and businesses are without electricity.
Storm surge warnings were issued for much of the east-central coast of Florida, Georgia, and tropical storm warnings were in place in South Carolina.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said while it caused a lot of damage, it was not the worst case scenario.
However, Hurricane Milton did leave behind much destruction and at least four storm related deaths have been recorded.
