Israel Begins Limited Ground Incursions Into Lebanon

For the first time, Israel begins limited ground incursions into Lebanon.
Israeli Defense Forces said they are beginning “limited, localized, and targeted ground raids based on precise intelligence against Hezbollah terrorist targets and infrastructure in southern Lebanon” in an operation called “Northern Arrows.”
The IDF said, “these targets are located in villages close to the border and pose an immediate threat to Israeli communities in northern Israel.”
The recent raids are expected to pose as a dramatic escalation in the 11-month conflict with Hezbollah.
It also could mark the start of a potentially long fight against the group and a wide region war as Israel is already fighting against Hamas in Gaza as well.
