Lactaid Milk Recalls Products Due To Allergen Risks

People who are allergic or have severe sensitivity to almonds risk a life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the product.

A popular brand of lactose-free milk has placed recalls on several products.

Lactaid milk was voluntarily recalled due to the possibility that it may contain small amounts of almonds. However, the allergen is not listed on the label.

People who are allergic or have severe sensitivity to almonds risk a life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the product.

The recall involves 96-ounces containers of Lactaid brand whole milk, 2% milk and 1% milk. It also covers fat free milk and 2% calcium enriched milk.

The products have expiration dates of late November and early December.

Consumers are urged to throw the milk out or return it to the store of purchase for a refund or exchange
