Man Taken To Hospital After Being Bitten By His Own Snake

There were 14 total snakes and one domestic cat taken by animal control.

A man in Florence was taken to a hospital after being bitten by one of his own animals.

On Friday, EMS responded to the 800 block of Marion Street.

Police were informed that he owned a collection of venomous snakes and one of them bit him.

First responders treated him before taking him to a hospital for further attention. His condition is unknown at this time.

Police determined that more dangerous animals could be at the location and a search warrant was conducted to ensure there was no threat to public safety.
