Lumberton Shooting Leaves One Person In Critical Condition

While investigators were searching the area for suspects or witnesses, two individuals began shooting at them.

One person was injured in a shooting that occurred in Robeson County Tuesday.

Lumberton police responded to the incident at 208 Lee Circle. Upon arrival, officials found an 18-year-old victim suffering from a gunshot wound. They were treated on the scene by EMS before being taken to a medical center for further attention. The victim is reportedly in “extremely critical condition.”

While investigators were searching the area for suspects or witnesses, two individuals began shooting at them. The investigators were not injured by the gunfire and none of the officers fired their weapons.

A suspected vehicle was witnessed fleeing the area. It was later located leading officers on a pursuit. The vehicle stopped and two suspects fled on foot while one remained in the vehicle.

The three suspects were taken into custody. Further investigation determined these individuals were not involved in either of the shootings. However, they were each charged in connection to the pursuit and more.
