Jansen became the first player to play for both teams playing against each other.
The former Blue Jays and current Red Sox catcher batted for both teams in the same inning.
The game originally began play on June 26 but was delayed due to weather. On July 27, Jansen was traded to the Red Sox.
The 29-year-old sported two jersey’s during the game and said he will keep one for himself and send the other to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Jansen said he was shocked that he is the only player to ever play for opposing teams during the same game. He added that he’s grateful for the opportunity to leave a stamp on the game and in history.
