Red Lobster To Close 23 Additional Locations

The additional 23 locations set to close will add to a tally that has seen over 100 locations close their doors earlier this summer.

Red Lobster announced plans to close additional locations.

The closures come as the bankrupt seafood chain prepares to be acquired.

The additional 23 locations set to close will add to a tally that has seen over 100 locations close their doors earlier this summer.

The restaurant filed for Chapter 11 in May after years of weak growth amid extreme competition, debt and mismanagement.

Included in the 23 locations set to close is one in North Carolina as well as one in South Carolina.

They will close their doors for good by Saturday. After that, Red Lobster will have roughly 500 restaurants left.

The company is selling itself to Fortress Investment Group which also owns Logan’s Roadhouse.
