Participants start at their own pace and are grouped together by ability and preference.
Those who attend can also learn about injury prevention, health and nutrition as well as meet new people along the way.
The program aims to help women learn a walking routine that works for them.
First Strides is set to start next Thursday and will run through November 7.
Workshops are held every Thursday at 5:30pm at the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex Amphitheater.
