Thomas, Mary Ann Smith

Mary Ann Smith Thomas, age 93 of Sanford passed away with her family by her side on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the E. Carlton Powell Hospice Center in Lillington, NC. She was born on June 16, 1917 to the late Malcolm J. Smith and Lula Holder Smith. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Thomas was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children: Jackie A. Thomas and wife Irene of Sanford; Brenda T. Patterson and husband Ricky of Sanford and Woodrow Thomas of Sanford, NC. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband John Thomas, and a granddaughter, Lynette Patterson. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 22, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Miller-Boles Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Lee Memory Gardens in Sanford, NC. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 21, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at Miller-Boles Funeral Home in Sanford. Miller-Boles Funeral Home of Sanford is serving the family.
