Why Your Homemade Iced Coffee Falls Flat (and How to Fix It)
Baristas share people's biggest mistakes making iced coffee.
Something everyone needs to improve their mood is a good cup of coffee. And while most of us can make hot coffee at home, iced coffee can be a little trickier. Baristas say it’s all in the technique and every step matters. One common mistake people make is using too much water when brewing. Remember, the ice you add later will water it down, so use less. You also want to make sure you don’t mix it with ice while it’s hot. Let it chill in the fridge first, but be careful not to leave it in the fridge for too long, or it will affect the flavor. Once you get the coffee-to-ice ratio down, all that’s left is to add your cream and sugar and enjoy!
