The grant aims to support increased enrollment, staff and educator retention as well as operating expenses.
Funds from the grant are expected to be used to retain current staff through salary increases or retention bonuses.
It could also be used for playground repairs or upgrades, sanitation costs, classroom materials and more.
The grant was revealed as part of the American Rescue Plan Act. It is available to eligible licensed or registered child care centers, homes, programs as well as license-exempt programs.
