Ford And Mazda Warn Owners Of Older Vehicles Over Airbag Recall

If a vehicle has an unrepaired Takata inflator, owners should stop driving them and call a dealer to set up a repair appointment.

Ford and Mazda have issued a warning to owners of over 475,000 older vehicles in the U.S..

The warning covers over 374,000 Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles with model years from 2004-2014. It also covers nearly 83,000 Mazdas model years from 2003-2015.

The companies are warning owners not to drive these vehicles as they may have dangerous Takata airbag inflators that have not been replaced. The air bags could explode with too much force in a crash which could severely injure or kill people.
