It was reported that sensitive information from Trump’s presidential campaign were stolen in a cyber intrusion.

No specific evidence of Iran’s involvement was provided. However, the claim came shortly after Microsoft issued a report detailing foreign agents’ attempts to interfere in the U.S. election this year.

The report cited an instance of an Iranian military intelligence unit sending “a spear-phishing email to a high-ranking official of a presidential campaign from a compromised email account of a former senior advisor.”

Emails from anonymous accounts have also targeted several staffers in the Biden-Harris campaign.

Iran has denied any involvement.

The FBI is now investigating the incidents to reveal more.
