Ukraine Now Has Control Over Some Russian Territory
The Ukrainian military chief said that some 386-square-miles of Russian territory were now under Ukrainian control.
Ukraine troops are now in control of dozens of Russian villages after a surprise cross-border incursion broke out last week.
The scale of the incursion became clear when Russian President Putin held a meeting with local officials from the border regions as well as some of Russia’s top security, government and law enforcement personnel.
It was reported that 28 settlements in Russia’s region were now under Ukrainian control. Ukrainian troops managed to advance some 7.5 miles into the territory across a 25-mile wide stretch of the border.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian military chief said that some 386-square-miles of Russian territory were now under Ukrainian control.
Putin has now vowed to “kick the enemy out.”
