Why People are Adding Baking Soda to Their Water
There's no universal dosage that works for everyone but 1/4 tsp in water is suggested.
A simple kitchen staple is surging in popularity as a potential health supplement. Baking soda is an alkaline compound composed of sodium, hydrogen, carbon, as well as oxygen…and now people are adding it to their water.
One of the most touted benefits of baking soda water is its ability to improve athletic performance.
During intense physical exercise, the body produces hydrogen ions, which increase acidity in the muscles and blood, leading to fatigue and decreased performance. But, timing and dosage are crucial, as too much baking soda can cause bloating and nausea. There’s no universal dosage that works for everyone but 1/4 tsp in water is suggested.
