Costco Is Cracking Down On Non-Members Shopping In Stores

Costco's new rule also requires guests to be accompanied by a valid cardholder to enter its stores.

Costco is continuing to crack down on non-members attempting to shop.

The retailer is implementing stricter policies aimed at stopping non-members from using other people’s cards by requiring shoppers to scan their membership cards in order to even enter stores.

For members who don’t have a photo but do have cards, come prepared with a valid photo ID.

Costco’s new rule also requires guests to be accompanied by a valid cardholder to enter its stores.

The move comes as an extension of the system Costco tested out at some stores earlier this year.
